End of Course Ceremony booklet
The ceremonies take place on Thursdays at 2 pm at the HD-4 Building located at the Saint-Jean Garrison.

Family members and friends of the graduates are invited to the End of Course Ceremonies.

The ceremonies take place on Thursdays at 2 pm in the HD-4 Building located at the Saint-Jean Garrison. Guests must be seated no later than 1:45 pm on a first-come, first-served basis. Parking spots are also available for the guests.

After the ceremony, a reception takes place at the O'Mega Mess, located in the Jean-Victor-Allard Building, for the graduates, their families and their instructors. After the reception, with their instructors' approval, graduates can go out for the evening with their families, but will have to return to the School no later than 9:30 pm.

The evening prior to the End of Course Ceremony, from 7 to 10 pm, graduates can welcome guests at the main building entrance and shall proceed to the O'Mega Mess or the cafeteria. Graduates might be granted permission to have supper outside.

A few weeks before the End of Course Ceremony, candidates will be informed of the procedure to gain permission to meet their respective families and friends for the evenings before and after the End of Course Ceremony.

What happens after the course?

A few weeks prior to the End of Course Ceremony, candidates will find out when and where they will have to report to their next training establishment. In most cases, graduates leave the day following the ceremony. In some exceptional cases and if the conditions allow it, graduates may leave with their families after the ceremony if they have received permission from their instructors.

How to get to the Saint-Jean Garrison

From Montreal:
  • Champlain Bridge
  • When you get off the Champlain Bridge, take Highway 10 East
  • On Highway 10, take exit #22 for Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu (Route 35 Sud)
  • Take exit Pierre-Caisse
  • At the lights, turn left
  • Keep your right and turn right on Pierre-Caisse
  • At the lights, turn left on Grand-Bernier
  • Drive for approximately 3 Km. The Saint-Jean Garrison will be located on your left after Des Carrières Street.

From Québec City:
  • Take Highway 20 West for Montreal
  • On Highway 20, take exit #98 West (St-Hubert/Brossard) to Highway 30
  • Follow signs for Highway 10 East to Sherbrooke
  • On Highway 10, take exit #22 for Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu (Route 35 Sud)
  • Take exit Pierre-Caisse
  • At the lights, turn left
  • Keep your right and turn right on Pierre-Caisse
  • At the lights, turn left on Grand-Bernier
  • Drive for approximately 3 Km. The Saint-Jean Garrison will be located on your left after Des Carrières Street.

From Pierre-Elliot-Trudeau International Airport:
  • When you leave the airport, follow the indications for Highway 20 East
  • On Highway 20, follow the indications for Champlain Bridge
  • When you get off the Champlain Bridge, take Highway 10 East
  • On Highway 10, take exit #22 for Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu (Route 35 Sud)
  • Once on Route 35, take exit Pierre-Caisse
  • At the lights, turn left
  • Keep your right and turn right on Pierre-Caisse
  • At the lights, turn left on Grand-Bernier
  • Drive for approximately 3 Km. The Saint-Jean Garrison will be located on your left after Des Carrières Street.

From Hull / Ottawa:
  • Highway 417 East becomes Highway 40 East in Quebec
  • Take exit #32 – Autoroute 540/Autoroute20/ON-401/Salaberry de Valleyfield/Toronto
  • Continue on Highway 30 East (toll road)
  • Take exit #109 – Highway 10 East
  • Take exit #22 for Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu (Route 35 Sud)
  • Once on Route 35, take exit Pierre-Caisse
  • At the lights, turn left
  • Keep your right and turn right on Pierre-Caisse
  • At the lights, turn left on Grand-Bernier
  • Drive for approximately 4 Km. The Saint-Jean Garrison will be located on your left after Des Carrières Street.

From Kingston:
  • Highway 401 East becomes Highway 20 East in Quebec
  • Take exit Highway 30 East (toll road)
  • Take exit #109 – Highway 10 East
  • Take exit #22 for Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu (Route 35 Sud)
  • Once on Route 35, take exit Pierre-Caisse
  • At the lights, turn left
  • Keep your right and turn right on Pierre-Caisse
  • At the lights, turn left on Grand-Bernier
  • Drive for approximately 4 Km. The Saint-Jean Garrison will be located on your left after Des Carrières Street.

How to Get to the Reception

For guests with vehicles:
  • Guests must remove their vehicles from parking #1.
  • Take Beny-sur-Mer Street (dotted line on the image below) and follow the "Reception" signs.
  • Park your vehicle in parking #2.
  • Once in the General Jean-V.-Allard Building, there will be military personnel to guide you towards the O'Mega Mess.
For guests without a vehicle:
  • Take Normandie Street (bold line on the image below) and follow the "Reception" signs.
  • Once in the General Jean-V.-Allard Building, there will be military personnel to guide you towards the O'Mega Mess.
